Our credit union, who specializes in serving active duty service members and veterans, told us they couldn’t help us refinance our mortgage. Veterans United helped us close on an IRRRL refinance 7 weeks after our first phone call, which included the Christmas/New Year holidays. They contacted us regularly with status updates, so we were never left wondering how things were progressing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It really was an A+ experience.
United Veterans took the guess work out of my refinance. I was also notified by United Veterans that I could get a better interest rate. Without them, I would of never known.
Everyone on the team was absolutely amazing to work with. Although a special shout out to Aaron Guinn. He really walked me through the process, made sure I understood what everything was, what kind of timeline was happening, and was an impromptu therapist when I had anxiety about the whole process. If I ever decided to buy another house (not likely, this one is perfect), I would only want to work with the same team again.
Would of liked to have more fluent communication about my options with my lending.

OK, so, I have always preferred renting for the convenience, but then about a year ago I was somehow inspired to buy a home, if I could find the right now. I h ad stumbled onto VU and had contacted them with my interest in doing a VA loan, which would be my first. My best friend "sister" and I spent months trying to find one close to her house, (My mom has dementia and I am her caregiver and my friend and her family have helped me care for her and she has become part of their family) Unfortunately, they were all high priced and still a bit away distance-wise, so we kind of tabled it for another time. For anyone who doesn't think prayer works, they might want to recheck that! A mutual friend of ours owned a house literally across the street, and one day she told us that she and her husband were going to move back to TX and they decided to finally sell the house. Once my friend told her about me wanting it, she didn't even list it, instead doing a FSBO, which took out the middle man. I contacted Alec and crew to tell him I had finally found a house and he was so excited for me! He literally took care of everything and brought in Elizabeth and Blake to hold my hand through the process, which took less than a month! When they said they were going to do something, they did it and with high quality caring. They found a title company locally that also was awesome with very helpful and attentive people. They even had gotten a beautiful sign made for my craft room! It was one of the very few times in my life that I have done business with an organization/company where it was obvious these people had answered a calling to do this and genuinely loved it. They are an example of what customer care (aka service) is supposed to be like. I've been an RN for over 30 years, and a psychotherapist for over 7 years, so I know first hand the importance of making sure my clients feel taken care of. I have their phone numbers starred in my contact list, and whenever I meet a fellow Veteran wanting to purchase, Veterans United will be THE first company, and they will be the first names I give out. Somebody, please give these folks a raise, or at least a nice Christmas bonus!

Tyler was awesome. He was available for questions day and night. Spent time explaining all the details I didn’t understand and ran the numbers quickly for me every time I wanted to change something. Ask for Tyler and John. They made a great team. The also send a house warming gift for my son after closing that made our first few days in the house a little easier.
The process was very smooth. The team that assisted me was very patient with us as we were in no huge rush to get the refinance complete. Closing costs actually came back cheaper than originally thought. We got an excellent interest rate with no points. My Team was very responsive to questions and helped make the process a very pleasant one overall.

The refinance process with VU was smooth and reassuring from start to finish. Tiffany and Kayla were responsive, direct, and proactive, which made the entire experience feel effortless and stress-free. Easily the best home loan process I’ve experienced.
There were some delays (mostly on my end but something I would like to advocate for) in terms of getting information as it was sent to just email rather than a text or phone call...Just for future would recommend maybe confirming best contact method. I had an issue with my email notifications which was a huge part of it on my end to. But overall I very much appreciate the teams effort and expertise.
Only good things to say about our experience with Veterans United! The team was responsive, knowledgeable, and made the VA loan process easy to understand. Everything stayed organized, deadlines were met, and communication was excellent throughout. I knew that if i had questions they were there to answer them and things that could be a hiccup for other lenders, they were extremely knowledgeable about. They clearly know VA loans inside and out. Highly recommend to any veteran looking to buy a home.
I have already recommended you guys to a few of my Vet friends who are looking to buy homes within the next year or so! You guys rock!!
