A helpful resource for first-time home buyers would have been a quick reference guide on the process (i.e. timeline, common fees, roadblocks to closing)
The communication between team members and the underwriter could be improved on. There were some last minute surprises that could have been prevented had the underwriter determined that some documents would not adequately meet requirements. This should not be happening the day prior to closing.
